SightAdapt™ features

Features designed around individual applications.

Adjust one active Windows application through a separate overlay while keeping unrelated windows unchanged.

Application assignments

Save an assignment against an application's executable identity, enable or disable it without deleting it and let SightAdapt activate the chosen profile when that application moves to the foreground. Paths and identifying metadata remain in the local settings file.

Visual profile management

Start with the built-in None, fixed Exact invert or editable Soft invert profiles. User-defined profiles can be created, duplicated, renamed, edited and deleted when they are not protected built-ins. Preview panels help compare changes before assignment, but they are not a color-calibration instrument.

Available controls

Editable profiles expose output black, output white, brightness, contrast, saturation and hue. These controls personalize the rendered appearance; they do not claim colorimetric calibration accuracy.

Overlay scopes

Client area

Targets the application's content area and avoids most window chrome.

Full window

Includes title bar, borders and content for a complete window treatment.

Current screen

Uses the display containing the selected window as the source region.

All screens

Extends the source across the full virtual desktop; test multi-monitor behavior carefully.

Shortcuts and notification-area controls

Ctrl+Alt+I temporarily enables or disables correction for the active window without changing saved settings. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+I adds, disables or re-enables the active application's persistent assignment. The notification-area menu includes an emergency command that removes active overlays immediately.

Read the keyboard-control documentation.

Multi-monitor and DPI behavior

SightAdapt is aware of per-monitor dots per inch (DPI) scaling and can retarget its overlay as the active window changes. Unusual display drivers, mixed scaling, protected content and remote sessions may need individual testing.

Settings and migration

Profiles and assignments are stored locally in a versioned JSON settings file. When the schema changes, SightAdapt can migrate supported earlier data and writes updates atomically to reduce the chance of a partially written file.

What SightAdapt does not do

  • Does not modify another application's files.
  • Does not inject code into another process.
  • Does not install a driver.
  • Does not upload screen content.
  • Does not bypass digital rights management (DRM) or access controls.
  • Does not guarantee compatibility with every rendering framework.
  • Does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
